Friend, have a second to chat?

When I first followed in my father's footsteps and began my career in public service nearly 20 years ago, I made a point to meet as many of the people I was representing as possible. From coffee shop chats to quick conversations at events to bonding over a glass of beer, getting to know the people of New Mexico was one of my favorite parts of the job. 

And well, friend, I'll be honest – splitting my time between our beautiful state of New Mexico and fighting for progress in the U.S. Capitol has made it difficult to catch up with the people I'm working tirelessly to defend. 

Even though I can't meet face to face with every single constituent and grassroots donor like I want to, technology has created so many bridges between people – so, I am here today to build another bridge with my community and supporters and strengthen my connection to you all.

Friends, above everything else that I want to chat about, top of my mind are the things that matter most to you as Republicans eye up the Senate again in 2024. Experts are already saying that Democrats are facing a brutal election map next year, and if we're going to defend the Senate against the odds a second time in a row, I'm going to need your help creating a winning strategy.
