We invite you to join us on Saturday, April 15th, 2023, for the Emancipation Day parade. Residents from all over the city will come together to commemorate The DC Compensated Emancipation Act of 1862, which ended slavery in Washington, DC and freed 3,100 individuals. It will be a fun-filled event for all ages.
