So far 2023 has reminded us that you don’t need to wait until the month of November — and you definitely don’t need to wait for the next presidential election — to see how much voting matters.
If your community has an election coming up (and even if it doesn’t), get your people excited. Gas up your friends, family, middle school bestie who moved two states away, guy in the seat beside you on an airplane, random person you’re seated with at any and all summer weddings, former third grade teacher — well, you get the idea. Get them excited to be a voter each and every year, because there are no off years when it comes to elections.
