John,

While all eyes are on the impeachment vote in the Senate, Donald Trump’s administration is pressing on with its war on seniors and people with disabilities.

Today is the last day for the public to formally voice our opposition to Trump’s new rule to put bureaucratic roadblocks in the way of people accessing their Social Security benefits.

The Trump administration is saying they will be able to cut $2.6 billion from Social Security with this rule. But they won’t tell us how many lives that equals.

Social Security Works has organized the submission of nearly 150,000 public comments to the Federal Register opposing this rule.

We’re not going to let the voices of the American people be swept under the rug. Chip in $8 to keep this cruel regulation in the public eye until it’s been defeated!

Just yesterday, Trump’s Medicare and Medicaid Administrator Seema Verma announced a plan to destroy Medicaid by converting some of its guaranteed benefits into limited payments to states. Medicaid is the largest provider of long-term care for older Americans in the country, and this would devastate it.

We defeated this cruel plan when it was part of Trumpcare. They’re going to try to implement it anyway, without congressional approval.

We’re going to defeat Trump’s war on seniors. Chip in to stand with us and fight back!

Thank you,

Alex Lawson
