Hello John!

My name is Rocío Preciado and I am the Career, Education & Mental Health Supports Senior Manager here at Immigrants Rising. This past year, we’ve had the honor of working with Cris Mercado, Founder & CEO of GrantAnswers, to facilitate our Activity Groups on the topic of financing a college education as an undocumented student. We are very pleased to see the impact these groups have had on participants from sessions held this past fall and winter. Here is what one of our participants had to say!
“Immigrants Rising’s Activity Group has helped me focus and dedicate keyword search strategies for finding scholarship opportunities. Before the Activity Group, I would become overwhelmed by how and where to look. I had become disillusioned. The group has helped me to refocus, get past myself and keep going. Thank you.” — Remi M, Facilitated Activity Group Participant
We want more students to find and apply for scholarships, which is why we are offering a third session of Financing a College Education ([link removed]) , which will start on Tuesday, April 18, 2023. This 6-week-long virtual group will offer undocumented high school and college students across the U.S. an opportunity to network with other undocumented students and develop tangible skills to finance their college educations and advocate for more (and better) campus resources.

Students can also visit our website ([link removed]) for more detailed descriptions of the groups we are offering this year. Also, don’t forget to share our interactive and up-to-date scholarship list ([link removed]) that can be customized to students’ unique backgrounds.

Share this resource with your networks so that more undocumented students can win scholarships and finance their college education.

Thanks for all that you do,
Rocío
