As a mother of five, I know the importance of teaching our children love and tolerance. There is nothing more important than raising our kids to be a good person.

That’s why I stood up and spoke out against the Republicans’ new H.R. 5 bill - which will bring culture wars into our classrooms, deprives our students of accurate and fact-based information, and teaches hate and intolerance instead of love and acceptance.

Will you please add your name to my petition right now if you support students over culture wars and parents over politics?

The pandemic has already erased years of learning and education from our students and the majority of Americans agree that Congress should focus on tangible solutions that will improve student achievement, not culture wars.

It’s important to note that we still have not had one hearing on how to address gun violence in our classrooms. Instead we are focusing on MAGA talking points instead of safety.
