Shaking the table and upending the status quo.
In case you missed it, John:
Last month, The Root published a profile of Cori as a part of its ongoing series on the next generation of Black congresswomen.
Raised around politics her entire life, Cori's journey to Congress began on the streets of Ferguson, Missouri in 2014 with the formation of the Movement for Black Lives.
Cori knows that in order to make a difference and achieve change, we need to transform our politics and replace elected officials who have failed to use their power to advocate for their communities.
As the first Black woman to represent Missouri in Congress, Cori has brought her years of organizing and activism to Congress. Cori's background and story is one that many people share. As Cori continues to shake the table and upend the status quo, our movement for a better future must continue to grow to amplify our collective voice.
We rely on contributions from folks like you to power our movement. Will you chip in today to keep this movement strong?
