Last year, we said choice is on the ballot — but truthfully, it’s on the ballot every year.
The GOP will stop at nothing to control women’s bodies. From bounties on the heads of Texas women to threats of prison time in Iowa, from Civil War-era restrictions in Wisconsin to the recent decision out of Texas to revoke the FDA's approval of abortion medication – it’s the exact opposite of freedom.
In the wake of the Supreme Court’s overturning of Roe v. Wade last year, Pat made access to abortion care a centerpiece of his campaign. And it resonated with voters twice.
And last week, a pro-choice judge won a pivotal race for the Wisconsin Supreme Court. Choice is a winning issue.
Pat is keeping up the fight to protect reproductive health care. Already, he’s working to block House Republicans’ restrictive legislation and finding ways to close loopholes that could deny women the right to make decisions about their bodies. And this week, he reintroduced the Protecting Reproductive Freedom Act, which gives the FDA — not judges or politicians — final authority over the approval of abortion medication.
Recently, New York Magazine published an article titled “Abortion Wins Elections.” Pat ran on this message and won, and he’s going to work with fellow Democrats to make sure they keep reproductive freedom front and center in their campaigns.
The right to choose is a winning issue, and it’s one we have to run on. Because if we don’t, we run the risk of losing these freedoms for good.
Please chip in $10 or any amount to support Pat’s work to protect choice. Because it’s still on the ballot, and he’s going to keep up the fight every single day to protect reproductive rights for millions of people across the country.
