Friend,

Logging doesn't belong in our oldest forests, but logging projects on our public lands could cut down our country's oldest trees.

President Biden pledged to protect our old-growth and mature forests, but his agencies are moving forward with logging the very forests we need to save.[1] We need his administration to follow through and create a strong policy to protect these forests from logging and other threats.

Ask President Biden to permanently protect mature and old-growth forests this Earth Day.

Our nation's largest and oldest trees are superheroes when it comes to fighting the climate crisis. Trees remove carbon from the atmosphere and store it on a scale that can't be matched by any man-made technology.

But even superheroes need help sometimes -- our nation's oldest trees are under threat from logging, putting wildlife, clean water and our climate at further risk.

More than 50 million acres of federal mature and old-growth forests have no protections.[2] This Earth Day, we need to speak for the trees.

You can be a superhero for our forests. Tell President Biden that these trees are worth more standing.

We can't keep waiting for a policy to protect our forests. Every day, some of our country's oldest trees are chopped down and reduced to stumps.

Last Earth Day, President Biden issued an executive order directing his agencies to protect mature and old-growth trees. Another Earth Day is around the corner, and announcing new protections for our forests would be the perfect way to celebrate our planet.

Tell President Biden to protect our forests for Earth Day.
