The Child Safety Workshop provides a comprehensive training that describes the risk of sexual abuse and an effective Safety System that protects children from sexual abuse. The workshop will begin by addressing the common errors and misconceptions that lead to challenges, followed by an evaluation of abuser characteristics, the grooming process, and common
grooming behaviors. The workshop will conclude with a description of the MinistrySafe 5-Part Safety System, which includes Sexual Abuse Awareness Training, Skillful Screening Processes, Appropriate Criminal Background Checks, Tailored Policies and Procedures, and Monitoring and Oversight.
This training will be helpful for church administrators, pastors, lay leaders, and children's workers. MinistrySafe Director and attorney, Greg Love, will address safeguarding minors from abuse.

First Responder Chaplain/Peer Support Training
|
|
Barry Young of Serving Heroes will provide his Level 3 and Level 1 Chaplain/Peer Support Training. This is for chaplains (or future chaplains), pastors and church leaders, Law Enforcement/Fire/EMS Peer Support Team Members and other emergency responders, anyone desiring to minister to and support first
responders. It’s also great information for hospice and hospital workers. Trainings will be April 28 and April 29 at the Jacksonville Police Department.

IMB Eight Steps Missions Workshops
|
|
The Eight Steps of the Missions Continuum workshop is designed to help equip churches expand their capacity for missions involvement. This IMB-led workshop will empower and encourage pastors and leaders with strategies to mobilize the church as well as raise up missionaries from within the church.
Ideally, pastors would attend alongside their church missions leaders so they can work together throughout the workshop to tailor their strategies to their own needs and the vision God is giving them.

Super Summer
|

Registration is open. Super Summer Arkansas is a camp sponsored by the Arkansas Baptist State Convention, with funding provided by the Cooperative Program. Super Summer Arkansas takes place each summer on the campus of Ouachita Baptist University, Arkadelphia. It is split into two camps: Super Summer JV, serving campers who have completed
grades 6–8, and Super Summer, serving campers who have completed grades 9–12. Both camps have adult leaders who attend one or both camps as adult chaperones.

PraiseWorks + JoyWorks

PraiseWorks and JoyWorks are worship arts-focused camps for students who have completed grades 7–12 and grades 3–6, respectively. Campers have an incredible
opportunity to gather to worship, learn about worship, and gain skills for leading and participating in worship. The camps will be held July 10–14 on the campus of Ouachita Baptist University. Registration is open.
