Last week, Tennessee’s Republican-controlled House voted to punish three Democratic lawmakers for joining gun violence prevention advocates in protest after the horrific shooting in Nashville.

Then, they voted to expel Rep. Justin Jones and Rep. Justin J. Pearson – both Black men – from the House. While Justin Jones has been reinstated, Justin Pearson remains ousted.

Republicans can kick him out, but they can’t stop him from running for reelection.

John: Split a donation between Rep. Pearson and Senator Hassan right now to help these gun safety advocates win and show the GOP that we won’t be intimidated.

Let’s be clear: What these Republicans are doing is repulsive and unacceptable. 

They refuse to take meaningful, lifesaving action on gun safety but have all the time in the world to silence voices of state lawmakers who aren’t afraid to speak up.
