Travel Texas Welcomes New Team Members

Travel Texas welcomes *April Bear* to the team, as Domestic Communications Coordinator. April worked with Travel Texas previously, was with the city of Cedar Park as Tourism Manager and also worked for Amazon.? April takes on the role formerly held by Tamara Andrew, who transitioned to Advertising Project Coordinator in February of 2022.

*Erik Arellanos* will be also join Travel Texas as Mexico and Latin America Marketing Specialist on April 17. Erik has previously worked at Visit Dallas and most recently was a Tourism Account Manager with Aviareps Mexico.

Travel Spending up 21.1% in 2022

Travelers to and within Texas spent an estimated $91.7 billion in 2022 ? an increase of 21.1% from the previous year and the highest amount on record! Travel spending generated an economic impact of $187.5 billion supporting 1.2 million Texas jobs with earnings of $67.6 million.
