Like I said, there's more events from coast, to coast, to coast in the blog. But don't worry if you missed the initial art deadline, there are lots of ways to participate.
Between April 15th and 25th, activists will use the posters you see above in mass wheat pasting actions, pop-up art shows, and arts-centered direct actions. Peoples' Earth Week builds on a long history of social movements centering arts and culture. From the civil rights movement, to the fight for women's liberation in the 1960s, to ACT UP's brilliant graphic arts in direct action.
Peoples' Earth Week starts this Saturday. So get out there and post your art, rally your neighbors, and take wild, creative, non-violent direct action April 15-25.
