Our Revolution delivered the organizing and messaging support to help
progressives score huge wins over the establishment in Chicago and St.
Louis last week, and that's only the beginning. We are now taking that
momentum to Philly, Pittsburgh, and beyond.
Zulfa Suara wasn't the only Nashville Metro Council member we elected who
was able to counter Republican extremism and restore Justin Jones to the
House. We also helped elect Nashville Metro Council members Emily Benedict
and Delishia Porterfield, who joined us on Monday's national live
organizing call.
On the call, Delishia laid out the stakes and the work ahead, saying,
"Today was a really good day for democracy in Tennessee, but the fight is
not over. Watch what's happening in Tennessee; if it's happening here,
it's coming to your state. We're asking people to invest in organizing
infrastructure, support the good candidates, the nonprofits, and activists
doing this work because without us working together, they're going to try
to take over our state, and I'll be damned if it happens on my watch."
