John, a Trump-appointed judge in Texas has issued a ruling that, if upheld, would ban mifepristone — a pill that doctors prescribe for abortions and treating miscarriages — in every single state across the country. 

This ruling is heartless, dangerous and blatantly politically motivated.

More than half of all abortions in the United States are performed via a prescribed medication like mifepristone. It is a safe, reliable and effective method to access affordable care. It's been approved by the FDA and prescribed by doctors for more than 20 years. This isn't about medicine or science or patients' health. It's about politics and an extremist agenda, plain and simple. And we cannot let them get away with it.

If we allow this ruling to stand, it will remove mifepristone from markets nationwide — even in states where abortion remains legal. And millions of Americans will suffer the consequences. This is a battle that we cannot afford to lose.
