Last Friday, we were shocked and furious to see that a federal judge ruled to invalidate the FDA’s approval of mifepristone, therefore ruling against the right of patients to make personal medical decisions with their doctors.

Let’s be clear: Mifepristone is a safe and effective drug, and it has been used for over two decades. This ruling sets a dangerous precedent and is an attack on reproductive rights and bodily autonomy.

While Republicans are seeking to control women’s bodies, Becca is working to re-establish a nationwide right to abortion and restore reproductive rights. She is a cosponsor of H.R. 12, the Women’s Health Protection Act, which would create a statutory right for medical providers to provide abortion care, a right for patients to receive that care, and abortion access protections across the country. 

Right-wing extremists will stop at nothing short of a nationwide abortion ban, which means we can do nothing less than put our full support behind pro-choice candidates and lawmakers like Becca.
