An AYD delegation is heading to the annual Virginia Young Democrats Convention this weekend in Richmond. But the truth is, we're falling short of our fundraising goals to support our delegation.
One of the central missions of AYD is to foster and nurture the next generation of Democratic leaders here in Arlington and Virginia. The annual VAYD convention is an opportunity for young people to connect with their peers from across the Commonwealth, exchange ideas, and develop crucial skills to help advance the progressive policies that we all hold.
Our delegation this year ranges in age from high school students, college students, and young professionals in the early years of their careers. All contributions will go directly towards covering the registration fees, hotel, and travel for our delegation. So please, if it is in your budget today, pitch in and help send our delegation to Richmond.

Time is running out to support Arlington Young Dems as we gear up to travel down to the Virginia Young Democrats annual convention in Richmond, VA next week from April 14th-16th!
We're aiming to fundraise $3,000 to help pay for accommodations and registration for our Arlington Young Dems' delegation and are a bit over a third of the way there as of this afternoon. Any and all donations are greatly appreciated!

You have another opportunity at this month's Arlington Dems meeting on Wednesday, April 12th at 7pm at Drew Elementary School to bring donations for our joint collection with ArlDems Women's Caucus for Doorways of various new and unopened items for survivors of domestic violence. Everything must be new and unopened, and toiletries should be full size, not travel sized.
