Thanks to your support, 2019 was a great year for One Love and we have our sights on 2020 being even bigger! Here's the scoop on what's happening.

NATIONAL NEWS
Super Bowl Love
The Kansas City Chiefs and the San Francisco 49ers are on opposite sides of the field at the Super Bowl, but on the same side for Team One Love. For the past two years, the 49ers have partnered with One Love to bring relationship health workshops to local high school students. Players opened up on camera about their own relationship experiences. One Love staff also held a workshop with about 170 employees of the Chiefs.

February Workshop Challenge
Join One Love and help teach the people in your life about the difference between healthy and unhealthy love with a 10 Signs workshop in February. This NEW One Love workshop explores the fundamentals of healthy and unhealthy signs and includes engaging learning activities.

Did you know that CEO Katie Hood's TED Talk was one of the most-watched in 2019? TED compiled a list of talks to reflect "a year defined by fighting for what's right, believing in the good despite all the bad, supporting others and yourself — and hoping for the best in the decade to come."

David Gallagher joins One Love as President
One Love has hired David Gallagher as President—a newly created role designed to further enhance the organization’s growth and evolution. David is a seasoned leader with significant experience in the social-emotional learning field. For more than two decades, Gallagher helped grow Playworks, a youth-focused non-profit from 12 employees serving eight schools in the San Francisco Bay Area to a national organization of over 650 employees in 1,200 schools.

We couldn't be more excited for him to join the team!

2020 College Athletics Challenge
One Love is calling on every NCAA Division I, II and III school to be a part of the College Athletics Challenge by hosting at least one workshop in 2020. The initiative is supported by the NCAA Student-Athlete Engagement Committee.

Woodberry School
Woodberry Forest School in Virginia dedicated a full day to educating students about healthy relationships. The day included keynote speakers, panel discussions, and a Dodge for Love tournament. The entire school community ended the day by taking this amazing birds-eye shot of students arranged in a heart!

Your support is making a difference

"I wanted to let you know that the One Love club did a really cool activity for the holidays. They adopted a family and bought items from their wish list. They delivered the gifts to Quigley House shelter for a family that had recently fled a domestic violence situation. The students organized the whole thing themselves and used their own money to purchase the gifts. We just love your organization and are so happy to be partners with you!"
