On Friday night, a Trump-appointed federal judge in Texas suspended the FDA’s approval of mifepristone, a drug used by millions of women for medication abortions.
First things first: Mifepristone is safe and effective, and the ruling to halt its FDA approval completely ignores decades of scientific precedent.
So let’s be clear: This is a politically-motivated attack. Friday night’s ruling was a direct assault on the right of women to make choices about their healthcare.
Politicians and judges have no place in these deeply personal, life-altering medical decisions. I will never stop fighting against the attacks on reproductive freedom to ensure that women across America always have access to the care they need.
