Celebrate National Volunteer Month

Girls For A Change programs are in full swing and we have lots of needs for volunteers. Whether you like gardening, organizing, speaking, sharing your skills, or assisting with events, we've got an opportunity for you. We couldn't do all of the amazing things we do to fill gaps and needs for Black girls without the support of volunteers.
Join our movement and help us get it done.

We're seeking eager, fashion and business-savvy individuals to volunteer for the day! Come be a part of a high-energy experience as we kick off Thomas Jefferson High School’s “Show Up, TJ and Secure the Bag” Fashion Show representing school spirit, sustainability, and diversity in the industry in an exciting and fashionable way!

There is a two step process involved to signing up as a volunteer. First, you must fill out the application form below. Richmond Public Schools require the application as a safety precaution as this event is hosted on school property. Once you’ve filled out the form, you can select which volunteer role you’d like from HandsOn Greater Richmond.

Creative skill sharing at Meadowbrook High School

The Meadowbrook High School Girl Action Team is working on a Fashion Symposium at Meadowbrook High School to celebrate fashion, culture, and identity worldwide. We’re seeking creative industry creators, designers, and entrepreneurs to be speakers and/or host interactive workshops around creative thinking and problem solving.

Volunteer in the garden
