Just how pathetic is anti-vaxxer Robert F. Kennedy Jr.'s primary campaign against President Biden, Jack? He's only been in the race a matter of days and he's already whining about "fake news" and trying to distance himself from reports that Trump lackey Steve Bannon recruited him into the race. (Because Bannon's candidates never cry "fake news," right?)
As ridiculous as Kennedy's campaign is, his lawsuit against Daily Kos is serious—and the costs are adding up. Daily Kos has had to bring on multiple law firms to represent us, as the fight has spanned two states (California and New York). Now, we're waiting on appeals. As you can imagine, this is expensive. Kennedy has a personal fortune to draw on, we don't. We're a small, independent outlet and our ability to fight back depends on you.
Please, if you haven't already, take a minute to chip in $5 right now to help offset the cost of our defense against this wealthy anti-vaxxer Robert F. Kennedy Jr.?

Jack, Robert F. Kennedy Jr.—one of the most prominent anti-vaxxers in the world and Nazi cavorter, who's been condemned by several members of his own family—declared this week that he will challenge President Biden for the Democratic presidential nomination in 2024.
If that wasn’t hilariously pathetic enough, here's the kicker: Kennedy was recruited into the race by Steve Bannon, one of the masterminds of the Trump 2016 campaign, to be a "useful chaos agent."
RFK Jr. rocketed from the fringes into the mainstream with the rise of anti-vaxx hysteria during the pandemic and has been derided as a "quack" and "healthcare menace." He is also pathetically thin-skinned, currently suing Daily Kos for a community post about a rally he attended alongside Nazis.
I have written about Kennedy's suit against Daily Kos here, here, here, here, here, here, and here. Right now, we're waiting on an appeals court, which means we're still going to need to shell out serious cash to fight this frivolous lawsuit while Kennedy does Bannon's bidding in the primary against Biden.
We’ve been able to fight this (ongoing) battle because you’ve had our back, helping fund this litigation. That's why I'm asking you to chip in $5 today to help us keep fighting.

P.S. Public Citizen has stepped up to defend pro bono the community member Kennedy is trying to unmask. I urge you to donate to Public Citizen for their courageous defense of our rights to political participation, as well as to Daily Kos so we can continue to fight this as long as Kennedy insists on tilting at this windmill.
