Thanks to pressure from the Inflation Reduction Act, the top 3 insulin producers have capped costs at $35 per month! This is huge, friend. Millions of Americans use insulin daily to treat diabetes, and many have had to ration their dosage because of skyrocketing costs and inadequate health insurance coverage.
No one should have to choose between paying for their medication and putting food on the table. That’s why I voted to pass the Inflation Reduction Act, which capped insulin at $35 per month for Medicare Part D patients and ultimately drove these companies to follow suit. As a result of this historic legislation, over 26,000 Massachusetts residents have seen their insulin costs significantly lowered, saving an average of $504 per person this year alone!
