[link removed] [[link removed]] Clarence Thomas has been taking luxury vacations for more than TWO DECADES paid for by a billionaire Republican donor – and he has a practice of not disclosing them.
He vacations on Republican mega-donor Harlan Crow’s superyacht around the globe. He flies on Crow’s jet. He even spends about a week every summer at Crow’s private resort in the Adirondacks. All that adds up to hundreds of thousands of dollars in undisclosed gifts.
Thomas’s failure to report these trips appears to violate a law that requires justices, judges, members of Congress and federal officials to disclose expensive gifts. The filing guidelines for justices specifically says transportation must be disclosed as a gift if the value exceeds $415. Like Thomas's trips on private jets and yachts…
Thomas says it's okay because they are personal friends, but he only became “friends” with Crow after joining the high court.
John, I said it on CNN and I’ll say it again: This raises more questions about the Justice, and about who is advising him, and it must be investigated.
At CREW, we believe that no person is above the law – including Supreme Court justices. We will fight day in and day out to defend the rule of law, and hold those accountable who break the law.
Help us continue our work to hold Clarence Thomas – and any leader who violates the law – accountable. Make a donation directly to CREW’s efforts today → [[link removed]]If you've saved your payment information with ActBlue Express, your donation will go through immediately:

This billionaire who’s got lots of rich friends can court the Justice and potentially influence Justice Thomas and his decisions.
When a justice’s lifestyle is being subsidized by the rich and famous, it absolutely corrodes public trust and threatens the rule of law.
Most government employees, and even other federal judges, are scrupulous in reporting gifts, usually much smaller and often from personal friends, as required on personal financial disclosure forms.
Clarence Thomas seems to have completely disregarded his ethical obligations by hiding these trips. It is far beyond what is acceptable, and it needs to be investigated.
CREW is taking action to push for more transparency and stronger ethics laws, and we need your support to do it. Please make a donation today to CREW to help us continue this important work → [[link removed]]
