Their latest attack on abortion

Team:

A single federal district judge in Texas ruled that the FDA-approved abortion medication, mifepristone, should be banned.

First, let me make it crystal clear that abortion is still safe and legal in Michigan. Period.

The outrageous ruling by this judge is a dangerous overreach. It goes against the judgment of the Federal Drug Administration, the expert agency that approves the safety of thousands of drugs in America. If this ruling stands, this could set a precedent that ultra-conservative judges are free to attack other FDA-approved drugs.

It is clear that conservative judges and the GOP are out to attack our personal rights and freedoms. We need to act now to stop them.

The GOP clearly did not learn their lesson last November. Americans want abortion access to be safe and legal, especially here in Michigan, where voters overwhelmingly approved a constitutional amendment to enshrine reproductive freedom into our constitution.

In 2024, voters will have another opportunity to defeat Republicans who are still threatening reproductive freedom nationwide. When we come together, we win together. It’s up to us right now to unite against the GOP threat nationwide.

Michigan is a critical battleground state in 2024 and Michigan voters will determine which party controls Congress and who sits in the White House. Will you make a contribution today so we can keep organizing Democrats in Michigan? It will take all of us working together to defeat the GOP.
