Hi John,
Did you miss our last webinar “A Call to Arms: Violence and the ‘Pro-Life’ Movement”? Be sure to catch up on this engaging conversation about the violent tactics and history of the ‘pro-life’ movement. It is clear to anyone paying attention that the self-proclaimed ‘pro-life” movement is far from affirming life. They have consistently supported the control of our bodies and the advancement of white supremacy. Their violence is a threat to everyone and they have only become more transparent about their violent tactics and rhetoric.

We can be our own abortion providers.
As Earth Day approaches, we would like to share with you a great piece by our chief research analyst breaking down the lies from anti-abortion activists who are trying to present anti-abortion as pro-environment. (Hint! Their claims are completely false, and they couldn’t care less about environmental justice.) Learn more here.
Self-Care
Self-care is an intentional practice that roots us in the present despite the oppression we may face. Regular self-care is essential for sustainable and effective activism.
Here are our self-care tips for April:
1. Bask in the fresh Spring air! Whether it’s a walk around your neighborhood or just sitting by an open window, take all the chances you can to breathe in a healthy dose of the new seasonal breeze. Spring brings new life, and just taking it in can nourish and rejuvenate your energy after a long winter. Maybe even treat yourself to some fresh hyacinths or tulips from your local florist! – Negar, Senior Research Analyst
2. Massage your face! I suffer from jaw pain and massaging my face every day really helps to relieve tension and give myself some much needed "me time." I like to use a Gua Sha tool, the practice of which originated in ancient China. While I prefer my jade Gua Sha tool to calmly scrape my face and neck, you can also just use your fingers for a face massage if you prefer. – Jessica, Digital Outreach and Opposition Research Director
3. Spend some time alone. Truly feeling your raw emotions can be so helpful for self-reflection, and can be a healing process. Whether you choose to sit outside and just enjoy the breeze, to grounding yourself and letting your feet touch the grass, or even having a cup of tea with your curtains or window open and enjoying the elements. Prioritizing yourself with self-care is vital and an experience of self-love. – Jacqueline, Senior Outreach Coordinator
