There is NO fact-based argument for removing an abortion pill from the marketplace.

Yet last Friday, that’s exactly what a U.S. federal judge attempted to do. Right now, we need your support to continue fighting for and defending our rights. [[link removed]]

URGENT: YOUR HELP NEEDED [[link removed]]

On Friday, U.S. Judge Matthew Kacsmaryk sided with plaintiffs who falsely claim that the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) did not sufficiently study the safety and efficacy of mifepristone—one of the two drugs used in medication abortion—when it was approved 20+ years ago. The court's decision to block the approval of mifepristone and remove it from the market is set to go into effect this Friday , April 14. The Department of Justice has appealed the ruling.

Countless peer-reviewed scientific studies have proven that medication abortion is incredibly safe and effective. The sources the court relied upon to block mifepristone have been repeatedly discredited as junk science by multiple courts across the country.

While the decision is without merit, its impact is devastating, threatening access to a critical medicine used by over five million patients in the past two decades. Currently, medication abortion accounts for more than half of all abortion care in the U.S. and most of those include mifepristone as part of a two-drug regimen.

Every time the anti-abortion movement tries to strip away our fundamental human rights, the Center for Reproductive Rights fights back. Please, we need you in this fight. [[link removed]]

The impact of Friday's decision goes beyond medication abortion access. It threatens the FDA's authority over the drug approval process, which could severely limit the development of new drugs of any kind and have repercussions on patients' access to FDA-approved medications.

With you by our side, we'll keep fighting. [[link removed]]
