Last week, the Tennessee GOP forcibly expelled Jones and another one of his fellow Black Democrats for demanding action on the gun violence crisis.
Make no mistake, the GOP’s racist attack on these two men is a threat to our democracy and the voices of minorities in every state across the country.
I stand with these brave young lawmakers for fighting to protect American lives and call on my fellow Democrats to take an immediate stand to hold the GOP accountable for their political abuse of power.
