Game and Fish program provided 2.6 million acres of hunting access in 2022

CHEYENNE ? A Wyoming Game and Fish Department program that works with landowners to secure permission for the public to access private lands for hunting and fishing saw another year of success. *In 2022 Access Yes opened access to more than 2.6 million acres of land for hunting as well as 4,007 lake acres and 93 stream miles for fishing on otherwise inaccessible private, state and landlocked public lands.* [ [link removed]-(2) ]

*Wildlife managers update hunting seasons proposals in response to winter impacts*

CHEYENNE ? As a result of extreme winter impacts, Wyoming Game and Fish Department wildlife managers have made significant adjustments to hunting season proposals? [ [link removed] ]in many areas of the state. The *new set of draft regulations are now available for public viewing* [ [link removed] ] and will be presented to the Wyoming Game and Fish Commission on April 18 in Casper.?
Initial season proposals were presented during public meetings around the state in March. After considering the ongoing impacts of winter and the overwhelming public concern, wildlife managers modified their recommendations in areas with extreme winter mortality.
The public is invited to attend the season-setting Commission meeting April 17-18 in Casper. A virtual option is available. The *full agenda [ [link removed] ]* is available on the Game and Fish website.
