This failing zoo needs to be shut down
Hello John,
How many animals need to die? How many animals need to suffer? What does it take before a zoo is shut down?
That is what we are asking ourselves and the local authority responsible for Borth Wild Animal Kingdom. This week the zoo has been banned from keeping 'dangerous animals', for the SECOND time in the last few years. This was for failing to meet their zoo licence conditions.
This is why we have sent an open letter to the local authority calling for this zoo to be shut down.

You might recognise the name of this zoo. This is the same zoo that Lilith the lynx escaped from in 2017. She was on the loose for five days before tragically she was shot dead.
This is the zoo where, just days after Lilith escaped, another lynx named Nilly was strangled to death in an apparent accident. Many other animals have died in tragic ways at this same zoo.
It's not enough to simply ban them from keeping some animals. All the animals need to be protected! And it is clear this zoo is unable to do that.
Take Action!
