When Mike ran against her in 2018’s special election, she made some extremely questionable “jokes” about attending a public hanging (in the state with the most lynchings in U.S. history) and preventing students from “those other universities” from voting. She also proudly wore this Confederate garb…

She’s also made it clear with her extremely partisan statements that she’ll do anything to defend President Trump after he campaigned for her. Mississippi Today even pointed out “Now more than a year later, Hyde-Smith is emboldened by the hyper-partisan moment and is working hard to repay the man who solidified her place in Washington.” Even if it’s at the cost of Mississippians and the American people she is putting partisanship above all else.

Needless to say, Hyde-Smith represents Mississippi’s past, not it’s future. But we have a chance to elect a leader this November who will bring long-deserved progress to our state.

In 2018, Mike came closer to winning than any other Democratic U.S. Senate candidate since 1982, and this time, the polls already say he’s within single digits of defeating her.
