Dear John,
Education savings accounts are the biggest deal in education right now.
What are education savings accounts — or ESAs, as they’re commonly called?
As you may remember, ESAs are designed to give money directly to families to spend on the schooling that they believe is best for their children.
And why do they matter so much?
Because they open opportunities for kids to get ahead.
Until now, children have been held hostage by the system.
If it wasn’t right for you, you were stuck.
But not any longer.
Education savings accounts are alternatives to one-size-fits-all education.
West Virginia passed an ESA bill in 2021.
Arizona passed them into law last year.
Iowa and Utah passed ESA bills just in the last few weeks.
And many more states are considering similar reforms right now.
You should be encouraged.
The COVID-19 pandemic exposed significant problems with the education system to American parents everywhere, especially the lack of options tailored to every learner.
Although it is a problem that stretches back decades, the time has come to solve it.
We will continue to advocate for educational choice and individual freedom in education.
This video with Skylar Zander, our Florida state director, and a packed room of activists at the FL state house, show how success in educational opportunity is possible.
