Hi John, I hope you all had a great weekend.

The news was buried in all the bustle of the holidays, but I’m alarmed by a recent decision by a federal judge in Texas to suspend the abortion medication that was approved by regulators 22 years ago – now one of the most common methods of abortion.

This move could lead to an all-out ban on abortion, whether states allow it or not. This is a blatant attack not just on women, but on families everywhere who don’t want the government influencing these personal decisions.

This goes against science and against our fundamental rights to make our own choices about our reproductive health. For now, this medication remains protected, but this move shows just how far anti-abortion activists will go to take away our rights.

That’s why I’m emailing you today, John . As one of just a few frontline Democrats, it is CRITICAL that we keep my seat blue if we want to defend abortion access across the country. 2024 is coming sooner than you think, and if we lose this seat, we could lose our chance to flip the House blue and legislate abortion defense once and for all.
