In school, it was always a treat when the teacher rolled in the television cart and popped in a VHS (remember those?).

In science class, there was one show that not only taught us about phases of matter or how light works, but also got students like me so excited about science and to see the joy in doing nifty home experiments for our parents.

Bill Nye The Science Guy has inspired generations of students and helped make science cool and fun.

That’s why I’m thrilled that Bill Nye and Environmental Defense Fund are teaming up to educate the public about methane, a greenhouse gas that Bill Nye calls “CO2’s destructive accomplice."

Take a few minutes (3:28 to be exact) and watch the Science Guy explain what methane is, where it comes from and how we can work together to cut methane emissions.

You know us, John, we always lead with science. That’s why we’re so excited to be working with folks like Bill Nye who agree that science rules.

It takes all of us working together (and sometimes doing clever science tricks) to reach our climate goals. Bill Nye is here to teach you not only what helps us reach those goals, but how it works and why it matters.
