This is what democracy looks like!
John,
While pundits and headlines focused on Trump’s indictment last week, democracy was in action in Chicago, Wisconsin, and right here in St. Louis.
Here’s a quick recap:
- All five of Cori’s endorsements for Alder races in St. Louis won their elections — Megan Green, Shane Cohn, Daniela Velázquez, Alisha Sonnier, and Rasheen Aldridge — proving once again that leaders who put the interests of the people before themselves will prevail.
- Progressive Brandon Johnson won his election to become the next mayor of Chicago, despite being outspent two-to-one by his more moderate opponent.
- In Wisconsin, Judge Janet Protasiewicz beat out her anti-choice, far-right opponent for the State Supreme Court.
Right-wing pundits and talking heads may claim that Cori’s ideals are “too radical,” but these victories prove what we already know — the people support our progressive values.
But progressives like Cori can only win elections when folks know who we are and what we stand for. Can you make a gift of $5 today to support Cori and other progressives in future races?

Support from folks like you are the reason we saw democracy in action across the midwest last week, and with your continued support, our progressive movement will only get stronger.
