This is where we are in the fight to protect access to abortion.

HER Time PAC

John,

Late Friday night, a federal judge in Texas issued a ruling that reversed FDA approval of mifepristone, one step of the two-pill medication abortion regimen — the most common form of abortion in the United States.

Less than an hour later, another federal judge in Washington issued a contradictory ruling saying the FDA should not restrict access to mifepristone in any state where abortion remains legal.

On top of that, the Justice Department has already appealed the Texas judge’s ruling, and the case is expected to work its way through the appeals court, possibly all the way to the Supreme Court.

Right now, the fate of this drug is in limbo, and even legal experts are unsure of what comes next.

We’re fighting back with everything in our arsenal to preserve access to mifepristone, but we need your help. Can you pitch in any amount today to our Rapid Response Mifepristone Fund? Everything is on the line:

Let’s be clear: Mifepristone is a safe and effective drug that has been on the market for 23 years without issue. This ruling was unprecedented and a complete overreach by a conservative judge with a political agenda.

Luckily, we were bracing for this decision, and our team immediately sprung into action. We were only able to do that because of the support you and this team provides — so thank you.
