Hey John,
Welcome to National Youth HIV & AIDS Awareness Day! Join us and thousands of accounts across the country in posting online using #NYHAAD today. We encourage you to
-
Use the NYHAAD Social Media Toolkit here for inspiration.
- Encourage folks to sign up for our Medical Mentorship Toolkit by sharing this link on social media.
- Send teachers, community leaders or anyone who works with Black and Latino young men our Get your Life Toolkit here. This seven-session group-based HIV prevention facilitation guide was developed by and for Black and Latino young men who sleep with men, and addresses specific topics like cultural and social norms, relationship dynamics, impact of racism and homophobia, and HIV & STI risk.
This year's #NYHAAD Social Media Toolkit includes resources from Let's Stop HIV Together, a nationwide campaign that takes aim at the stigma and complacency fueling the HIV epidemic in the United States. If you use those materials, remember to use #NYHAAD and #StopHIVTogether in your posts, no matter what social media network you choose.

Today at 3:30pm EST, join us on Youtube Live alongside the White House Office of National AIDS Policy, and Congresswoman Barbara Lee’s office. NYHAAD youth ambassadors Tyra Gravesande and Eunice Mejiadeu join them for a roundtable discussion on emerging issues for youth living with or impacted by HIV and AIDS. Remember young people are some of the most impacted by HIV (making up about 1 in 5 new HIV cases). We're thrilled to be connecting our rockstar youth activists with policy-making officials today. Tune in LIVE here.
Thanks so much for any participation you can do today in uplifting young people's experience with HIV & AIDS.
In solidarity,
Char'Lee King
