"Abortion pill access in jeopardy after judges issue conflicting rulings" -- NPR

"A federal judge in Texas stayed the FDA's approval of the drug mifepristone, while a federal judge in Washington state blocked any FDA change in access."

john,

On Friday, a Trump-appointed federal judge in Texas reversed a longstanding approval by the FDA for this commonly-used abortion drug.

Mifepristone was safe and effective when the FDA first approved it over two decades ago and still is. This disastrous ruling would halt the supply of this safe medication in all states and make accessing abortion care even more difficult for millions of Americans.

However, a federal judge here in Washington issued a conflicting ruling and the Biden administration has appealed the Texas ruling.

Right now, Mifepristone is still legal and accessible. But it's clear that conservative lawmakers and judges won't stop attacking reproductive rights.

As a doctor and as a congresswoman, Kim will always work to ensure women have access to safe reproductive health care. That's why she's fighting back against extremist attacks on abortion access, but she needs to know you're with her.

If you're with Kim in the fight to defend abortion care for women in all 50 states, contribute today →
