Elder Law: Reviewing Advance Directives

Wednesday, April 26
12–1 pm ET

The Entertainment Community Fund will be hosting a workshop on April 26 for professionals in entertainment to get the information they need to complete their advance directives.

Join Britt Burner, elder law attorney and partner at Burner Law Group, P.C., as she discusses the different types of estate planning tools including advance directives. Topics for discussion will include the significance of a health care proxy, living will, HIPAA release form, Medical Orders for Life-Sustaining Treatment (MOLST) and durable power of attorney. Learn how to fill out advance care planning documents and which documents you can complete on your own, as well as which documents need an attorney or a physician to complete.

Our guest speaker, Britt Burner, Esq., is a partner at Burner Law Group, P.C., a boutique law firm concentrating in the areas of elder law, estate planning, trusts and estates, and real estate. Serving clients from New York City to the East End, she has been named a Super Lawyers Rising Star and an Outstanding Woman in Law by Hofstra University. Britt serves as Vice Chair of the Elder Law and Special Needs Planning section of the New York State Bar Association. Britt also serves as a Charter member of the Advisory Council of the Katz Institute for Women’s Health at Northwell.

Please note: This workshop is for New York State residents only. This is a one-time workshop on April 26 from 12–1 pm ET.
