RSVP Denim Day is a campaign on a Wednesday in April in honor of Sexual Assault Awareness Month. Wear jeans to take a stand against victim-blaming in honor of Denim Day. This training will focus on the dynamics of sex trafficking and Missing & Murdered Indigenous Women and Relatives in tribal communities, land and body violence, discussion around how to support survivors of trafficking and families experiencing a missing and murdered crisis. Objectives: Providers will learn about how sex trafficking intersects with the MMIWR crisis Develop an understanding of land and body violence as it relates sex trafficking/MMIWR Engage in meaningful discussion ??? Intended Audience: Direct service providers and advocates on New Mexico tribal lands and those working with victims and survivors of sex trafficking, and their dependent children.
