Both candidates for the open School Board seat, Miranda Turner and Angelo Cocchiaro, will be joining the Committee, answering questions from both the Committee Chair Dr. Liza Durant and from members. Both candidates are running in the Democratic caucus, which will be held from May 7 to May 13 to select the candidate that will be on the general election ballot on November 7. All members of the Chamber are welcome to join this committee meeting. If you are interested in attending the Committee meeting, please reach out to Membership Engagement Member Will Mulligan, at [email protected].   We Love Remote Work…But Remote Work Doesn’t Love Us Back By Dr. Ellen Fitzenrider, Body Harmony of Arlington We are in the midst of a conundrum playing out between post-pandemic employees, (who kinda got used to the idea of working remotely in their pajamas) and businesses large and small who have seen negative impacts of remote work in various ways: productivity, bottom line, and company culture. Companies are strategizing on how to get employees back in to the workplace.  While you can find research to back up either party’s side, I wish to weigh -in as an advocate for a 3rd side: the side of our bodies, which have suffered from remote work, sitting at a computer for vast, unbroken long shifts and Zoom meetings.
