We're still a bit short of our end-of-month goal. I need to ask you to help us close the gap, but first, I want to explain why this goal is so important.

Ed has won tough fights throughout his career. We've known from the start that we'd have to build a grassroots army to win this race because no one person can do this alone.

That's exactly what we're doing on this campaign, and it's why we set a goal for this deadline that's focused on the number of donations. The number of people stepping up to say they're with us in this fight is just as important as how much we raise.

Because here's the truth: There's never been a more important time for us to demonstrate our movement's strength.

You see, Joe Kennedy outraised us last quarter. That's not great, and it means we need to close the gap and show that our movement has what it takes to compete this time around.
