Exposure to the “forever chemicals” known as PFAS may reduce fertility in healthy women by up to 40%, a study by Mount Sinai researchers finds.

PFAS are already costing the American people up to $63 billion a year in health care costs and lost productivity, and this latest study adds to long-running concerns about the health harms facing people across the U.S. exposed to these chemicals.

But polluters are still allowed to recklessly dump these toxic chemicals into our air and water because strict federal regulations aren’t in place. EWG estimates up to 200 million Americans may be drinking PFAS-contaminated tap water.

The average American already has unsafe levels of PFAS in their blood. The Environmental Protection Agency recently proposed historic drinking water regulations to tackle 6 PFAS, but we urgently need to BAN these chemicals.

We need to hear from 5,600 of our top supporters by midnight tonight to help us finally get PFAS out of our environment.
