Let me explain.

You may have received my team’s previous email explaining my love for Marvel comic books — and it’s all true. I can talk all day about how Wakanda is the most advanced civilization on earth or the magnetic properties of Vibranium. I know the Mjolnir-wielding characters I read about don’t exist…unfortunately.

But…I do think superheroes are real. Superheroes are the everyday people in our city who show up for their neighbors and work together to create a better Philadelphia for all.

That’s why I’ve committed to visiting 100 small businesses in the final 100 days of this race. Small businesses are vital to transforming communities. And I believe when we meet people where they are to listen to their stories and learn from them, we unlock our superpowers.
