Democrats have unveiled a $760 billion infrastructure plan with a focus on addressing climate change.

John,

This week, while the headlines have been focused on the impeachment hearing in the Senate, there was another kind of activity going on in the U.S. House.

Democrats unveiled a $760 billion infrastructure plan with a focus on addressing climate change. And, according to House Transportation Chairman Peter DeFazio (D-OR), the plan will make federal buildings carbon-neutral, invest in renewable fuels for air travel, protect communities experiencing the immediate impact of climate change and possibly even bring some Republicans along on the bill by “[saving] taxpayers money.”[1]

This is the type of investment that Congress should be making in our communities and our future—paid for by making the rich and corporations pay their fair share. And together, we can make it happen!

Make an end-of-month contribution to Americans for Tax Fairness today to fight for an infrastructure plan that addresses the climate crisis (and fixes the damn roads)—paid for by a Fair Share Taxes agenda.

According to DeFazio, one of the primary focuses of the infrastructure plan is to “meet the goals of the Green New Deal.”

We have a real shot at getting this bill through the House. But only if it’s paid for. And a bill we are leading the charge on—the Millionaires Surtax—will raise nearly all of the money ($635 billion) needed to fully fund this effort to fix our roads and bridges; rebuild mass transit systems; reduce carbon pollution; expand the use of clean, renewable energy; and modernize our clean-water systems.

Americans for Tax Fairness is fighting for a Fair Share Taxes Agenda that invests in our future.

Can you make an end-of-month contribution today to fight for an infrastructure plan that addresses the climate crisis, makes our communities flourish AND is paid for by making the rich and corporations pay their fair share?

Together, we’re rallying activists and voters across the country to demand a tax system and a future that works for all of us, not just the wealthy few.

Thank you,
