I made a few observations from night one of the Democratic debates.

We didn’t see any time devoted to reproductive rights, LGBTQ+ issues, or access to better paying jobs.  

We should have heard more about the climate crisis and job development around the renewable energy industry.

Thankfully we didn’t hear any discussion of Muller’s testimony or impeachment.

Iowans are focused on issues that affect their daily lives like affordable and accessible healthcare, access to better paying jobs, student loan debt relief, the climate crisis, and affordable childcare. And a Senator that will fight for them every day.

Winning back the US Senate has never been more important. If Democrats don’t have a majority in the Senate – most if not all the ideas discussed on the debate stage will be dead on arrival under a Democratic President.
