In 2022, Democrats had a historic midterm and stopped the “Red Wave” that so many pundits predicted. Republicans were thrown by these victories – they thought that spreading lies, gerrymandering critical states and sowing election distrust would make these midterms an easy pickup for them. But now, after historic recent wins for Democrats in Wisconsin, the Indictment of Donald Trump, and recent ethics scandals plaguing conservative SCOTUS justices, like Clarence Thomas, the tide is turning against the GOP, and voters across the country have had enough. 

Voters knew that American democracy was on the ballot, and they turned up at the polls to make sure that we achieved these historic victories. At ECU/LAV, we dug deeper into voters’ motivations with a slate of research about how voters view our democracy and how to apply it to the 2024 elections. 

We’re back from the field and wanted to share the results with you. Please join ECU/LAV President Tiffany Muller and the President of Impact Research Molly Murphy on April 10th for a virtual briefing for our members. We’ll discuss the results of our polling and focus groups and talk about what the road to the 2024 election looks like.  

The research we conducted will inform the decisions we make and the direction we’re headed in, and we want to share our findings with you. Without the support of our grassroots members across the country, our victories wouldn’t have been possible, and we want to update you on our plans for 2024.
