Hi John.
Last night, a federal judge blocked access to an abortion medication called mifepristone.
This ruling is yet another extremist attack on access to reproductive health care. Women should be in charge of their reproductive health care decisions – not the government. While mifepristone is still legal for now, this unprecedented ruling only puts Kansans’ health at risk.
I know this issue can raise a lot of strong feelings. Whether we agree on every issue or not, my job is to serve everyone in our community – regardless of party. Please click below to begin taking my survey to share your views >>

This ruling ignores 20 years of science. Millions have used mifepristone safely and effectively for decades. It's an attack on reproductive rights, and also undermines the Food and Drug Administration's ability to keep safe and effective medications available to folks who need them.
This is yet another extremist attempt to block access to reproductive care nationwide. A strong majority of Kansans, regardless of party, reject this extremism. I'll continue to stand with women, doctors, and families throughout our district and fight for their rights.

I know this is a deeply personal issue. But regardless of where anyone stands, I know we can all start from a place of respect as we listen to each other.
So whether we agree on every issue or not, I’m going to keep serving everyone – regardless of party. I’ll always work with both parties to help move our country forward and stand up to the extremes across the political spectrum.
My warmest regards,
Sharice L. Davids Member of Congress
