Favoring purely political motivations over 20 years of scientific fact, a judge in Texas ruled to block access to the leading abortion medication.

Mifepristone has been safely and effectively used by millions of women and was approved by the FDA decades ago—so this ruling sets a dangerous precedent not just for this drug but for the FDA’s ability to keep all sorts of medications available for folks who rely on them.

Last August, Kansans fought against and ultimately rejected extremist actions to limit abortion rights in our state. Now, we have to fight back again.
