It's 2020 and a Democratic Socialist is a United States presidential frontrunner. What a time to be alive!
John, Bernie is killing it in Iowa, where polls give him a multi-point lead over Biden. But this campaign's slogan is "Not Me, Us" for a reason: we can't just organize in the early states and we can't just organize for presidential elections. We've got to fight in government, in the workplace, in our communities, and in the streets for justice across Louisiana and the Gulf Coast.
New Orleans DSA has a General Meeting on Monday!
Our General Meetings are the largest gatherings of our chapter, where fifty to ninety democratic socialists come together to hear updates on our local campaigns and projects, listen to educational presentations and debate and vote on political resolutions.
Our General Meeting is Monday, February 3rd, 6:30 PM at 2022 St. Bernard Ave (building C, enter through the parking lot behind the church). Come hear reports about the latest in the Hard Rock collapse, learn how to become a Bernie delegate, and debate a resolution to expand our labor organizing work. We will also hear a resolution on amending our chapter's budget and fundraising to send a delegation to the Labor Notes conference in April.
Dinner served 6:30PM, meeting starts for 7PM. Wheelchair accessible building, professional childcare provided.
