Voter intimidation isn’t only wrong, it’s illegal. So, we’re taking True the Vote to court.

When we see voter suppression in action, we do something about it. And that’s why we’re taking True the Vote to court.

Our case challenges True the Vote’s targeting of more than 364,000 Georgians with tried and true voter suppression tactics during the 2021 U.S. Senate runoff election. Our allegations focus on True the Vote’s mass challenges to voter registrations, plans to recruit “citizen watchdogs” to surveil voters as they returned their ballots, and publicized millions of dollars in rewards to their supporters to find evidence of “illegal voting.”

But there’s nothing “true” about True the Vote’s conspiracy theories. We couldn’t just sit back and let this extremist, anti-voter group carry out tactics that threaten to tear down our democracy, so we sprung into action. Voter intimidation isn’t only wrong, it’s illegal.

Since filing litigation in December 2020, the Fair Fight team has been working hard to collect the accounts of voters harmed by mass challenge efforts like True the Vote’s tactics during the runoff election. And now, the court has issued an order confirming our case will go to trial — a long-anticipated opportunity to seek justice for voters and prevent anti-voter schemes from undermining future elections.
